Supporting Non-Profits

Sconset and Beyond supports Nantucket non-profits as an essential part of our mission.

Examples from the Winter of 2024 include:

The Christmas Market: December 11 from 4-7pm at Proprietors, Nine India Street, Nantucket.  

Sconset and Beyond has organized the Christmas Market in collaboration with Proprietors. Ten Nantucket artisans will be showcasing their items and each of us has chosen an island non-profit to support with a portion of the proceeds from the Market. Sconset and Beyond is thrilled to be supporting A Safe Place. 

Unable to attend? Place a Sconset and Beyond online order before December 11, and a portion of the proceeds can be donated to A Safe Place, allowing you to contribute as if you had attended the Market in person - option at check out!  

November 7-15: Virtual Fundraiser to support The 'Sconset Trust. Place a Sconset and Beyond online order between November 7 and 15, include 'Sconset Trust' in the gift message section, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Trust. 

September 21: Pop-up at Pip & Anchor to support Nourishing Nantucket. Nourishing Nantucket is a food box program run by Pip & Anchor, fiscally sponsored by the Nantucket Resource Partnership, that provides fresh, local produce to approximately 80 food-insecure families each week.

September 19: Pop-up at Mitchell’s Book Corner. “Christmas in September” to benefit the Nantucket Historical Association. Unable to attend? Place a Sconset and Beyond online order before September 19, include 'NHA' in the gift message section, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the NHA, allowing you to contribute as though you had attended in person.

Examples from the Summer of 2024 include:

• Participating in the Nantucket Garden Club Flower Show boutique as well as the Nantucket Garden Club House and Garden Tour boutique, with a percentage of sales contributed to the Garden Club.
• Donating a framed "Golden Hour" as well as committing to photograph the signature auction item (a cocktail party at Sankaty); donating the proceeds from hundreds of puzzles; and participating in the Young Members Cocktail Party boutique - all to support The Sconset Trust.
• Donating a basket that included a 2025 calendar, note cards and more for the NISHA auction.
• Participating in the Maria Mitchell Association Maker's Market, with a percentage of sales contributed to the Association.
